Doves...

There was quite the discussion over the use of doves at this wedding. Sarah thought it was nuts to spend money on something that you will watch fly away. Of all the things wedding related this was the only thing Buck thought would be cool and he wanted them. So Lisa made the arrangements. I have to say I was on the fence with this whole thing. But it turned out to be quite wonderful. She used the opportunity to call all of the bridal party and parents out to the balcony. There she made a small speech thanking all of us for participating and supporting her and Buck on their special day. Sarah and the dove handler held two closed baskets in their arms while Lisa made her speech. Then with a nod to them they opened the baskets and the birds flew out.
