Just clouds...

It is supposed to be raining here this weekend but so far it is just cloudy. We are having a great time with Steve's family here at the coast. We are also celebrating Buck's birthday. We are having his favorite, pot roast. We brought wine and Katy has made desserts. It looks to be a good time and I charged my camera battery so I am already for this evening.

I hope this isn't a sign of things to come...

I have been working like crazy on this alphabet book for a class I am teaching next month. Now that it is finished the materials ordered, the pictures taken and downloaded on my computer I can't send them to the web guy for the scrapbook store!! I haven't changed anything I am doing, the software (Picasa) was upgraded last month I think and I haven't changed my email program and yet it won't work. I have checked out all the possiblities on their site and apparently this is a problem but no resolution other than deleting this program and reloading the old one will do it. But I read on and that only works sometimes! What the heck? I am going to have to try going with another email program and see if that will solve my problem...
ETA: In the meantime, here are a few photos of the book.

Sooo busy...

Sorry, I haven't had much time to blog lately. I am still putting the finishing touches on the book I have been working on. I really underestimated the time it was going to take to do this...

Finally...

I finished designing and cutting out the rest of my stuff for my book. Now to put it all together. Which usually involves me making changes and adding items to my project. I know, but I can't help myself. I will post pictures once I have a few pages done.

Julie, Julie, Julie....

She tagged me on her blog! I don't have much time these days but it will give me a break from my class stuff. I am trying to finish cutting out my stuff for my "abc" book but it is taking me much longer than I had planned. It also doesn't help when my grandson comes to visit. His mommy wanted to work on her taxes and I couldn't say no. So here goes with the random eight things;
1. I do not like asparagus.
2. I really don't mind doing laundry, I just hate the thirteen stairs I have to climb and descend to do it.
3. When I bought my first car it was a dark blue Volkswagen fastback and I shared ownership with my brother Joe.
4. I have some really great sisters-in-law. Steve's brothers picked very wisely or they were darn lucky.
5. My first job was at a fabric store, I was sixteen years old.
6. I met Steve at a company picnic. It was his first week on the job which was straight out of OSU.
7. I didn't go to kindergarten.
8. When I got my drivers license at nineteen, the car of my dreams was a Red 450SL BMW convertible.
Just like Sarah it took me awhile to come up with these eight. And Cash keeps getting cuter everyday...

So busy and still not feeling 100%...

I still have that nasty cold that is going around so it is taking me twice as long to finish things that I want to do around here. I finally finished designing my book for one of my classes next month now all I have to do is get it cut out and put together. Sounds simple but oh brother, there are lots of little pieces and I have less than two weeks to get it done. It looks like there might be a few late nights here and there till I am done because I still have homework to do for my organizational class I am taking. Gee, what was I thinking when I signed up for that class? Oh wait I remember, I want to get organized!!

It's been a week already...

I haven't done my homework for my organizational class and we meet again tomorrow evening. I have been wrapped up designing an "ABC" book with a Sesame Street theme and the logistics were a little tougher than I thought it would be. I did manage to sort through some paper and organize it by holiday so I won't be hunting for it the next time but I still have a ways to go to put things where I want them. So homework is the thing I will be doing tonight. The picture is my long term goal for my work table...

It irritates me...

When you leave a message for someone and they don't return your call. It is a good thing I remembered that I hadn't heard from the fuel people. I left them a message on Saturday when we discovered that we ran out of fuel. I expected a call sometime today but as it got later in the day it occured to me that they may not have checked their messages. So I called and no order was written for a delivery. Now there is. I sometimes wonder why businesses even bother with phone answering machines. Gee...
ETA: 4PM: Fuel was just delivered. I guess it is a good thing I called or I would have woke up freezing again.
